Softball Game Preview: Captain Shreve Gators vs. Cedar Creek Cougars

The Captain Shreve Gators will square off against the Cedar Creek Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Captain Shreve's offense. They came up short against Benton on Thursday, falling 11-0. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cedar Creek faced off against Benton on Wednesday. The Cougars took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Captain Shreve's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Cedar Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
