Recap: Sonora Wildcats vs. Argonaut Mustangs

The Sonora Wildcats had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 victory over Argonaut. That's another feather in the cap for Sonora, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Jonathan Curran, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Roger Edwards was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.

Sonora pushed their record up to 11-10 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Argonaut, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Sonora will be playing at home against Calaveras at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Argonaut, they will head out on the road to challenge Summerville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
