Baseball Recap: North Takes a Loss

North came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-6 to the Fairfax Stampede. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stampede this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in February.

Joey Morales was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Ivan Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

North's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Fairfax, their record now sits at 7-8.

While North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
