Softball Recap: Providence Grove Takes a Loss

Providence Grove fell victim to Southwestern Randolph and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Southwestern Randolph Cougars, falling 8-0. The Patriots have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Providence Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Southwestern Randolph, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Grove will face off against Uwharrie Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern Randolph, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Southwestern Randolph Cougars duke it out with Randleman Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randleman will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Southwestern Randolph surely won't give up without a fight.
