Baseball Game Preview: Little Chute Mustangs vs. Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes

The Little Chute Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Tuesday, Little Chute didn't have quite enough to beat Waupaca and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Fox Valley Lutheran earned a 4-1 win over Clintonville on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Foxes in their matchups with the Truckers: they've now won six in a row.

Aidan Rachoner made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rachoner was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other pitching news, Jordan Sanders looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.

Rachoner wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dawsen Burington, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Fox Valley Lutheran's record now sits at 2-0. As for Little Chute, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Little Chute couldn't quite get it done against Fox Valley Lutheran when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
