Recap: Mill Springs Academy vs. Tapestry Charter Titans
It was a good run, but Mill Springs Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 59-48 to Tapestry Charter. Mill Springs Academy has struggled against Tapestry Charter recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Mill Springs Academy saw an underclassman step up: Hampton Hill scored 24 points. That was a full 50% of Mill Springs Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Frommer, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Mill Springs Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Tapestry Charter, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.
Mill Springs Academy will head out on the road to challenge LaGrange Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. LaGrange Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Tapestry Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Atlanta Area School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m.
