Basketball Recap: Snowflake Snags 14th Win in Last 15 Games

Snowflake had won three straight road games and Ryah Denhalter did her part to make it four on Friday. The Snowflake Lobos walked away with a 48-38 win over the Alchesay Falcons thanks in part to Denhalter, who posted 17 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Tayli Hancock was another key player, putting up four points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Alchesay lost, don't look at Ramona Gregg. Despite the final result, she had ten points along with eight boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Jim, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Snowflake is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Alchesay, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Snowflake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-28 victory against Valley Christian on the 18th. As for Alchesay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-48 win against Blue Ridge on the 21st.
