Football Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Starts Season with Win Against Non Varsity Opponent

Texas School for the Deaf had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Non Varsity Opponent with a sharp 60-34 win.

Texas School for the Deaf got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyle Pomilio out in front who rushed for 47 yards and two scores. Xiovan Tomlinson was another key signal caller, gaining 166 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Texas School for the Deaf was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 209 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
