Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Monroe Central was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 12-1 to Northeastern.
Monroe Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raegan Quattlebaum, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Madison-Grant's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Monroe Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
Monroe Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Madison-Grant hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. It's a different story for Monroe Central, though, as they've only averaged .182. Will they be able to contain Madison-Grant's hitters?
