Recap: College Park Falcons vs. Mt. Diablo Red Devils
The College Park Falcons had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 victory over Mt. Diablo on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
College Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Wray, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathys Joseph, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Mt. Diablo's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zaire Albert, who scored 19 points. Willy Jones was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 8 blocks and 7 rebounds.
College Park's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Mt. Diablo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. College Park will take on Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foothill is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Mt. Diablo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ygnacio Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ygnacio Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
