Camp Point Central's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Unity/Seymour Mustangs a 43-0 shutout. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Camp Point Central's record is now 5-0. As for Unity/Seymour, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Camp Point Central will take on rival Brown County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 2.8, the Hornets 5.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Unity/Seymour is set to face off against their familiar foe Routt Catholic/Lutheran at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
