The Granbury Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Brewer Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Granbury sitting on nine straight wins and Brewer on five.
Granbury's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Azle 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Levi Martinez and Easton Bleeker made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Martinez pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Bleeker didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Martinez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. At bat, Martinez scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Bleeker went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Granbury got a massive performance out of Hudson Hamilton, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Hamilton a new career-high. Blake Bramlett also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Granbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Azle only posted an OBP of .190.
Brewer not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st. Everything went their way against Saginaw as they made off with a 10-3 victory.
Like Granbury, Brewer also got a great game from a two-way player: Jesse Orozco. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Orozco was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Squires, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Troy Griffin was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.
Granbury pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Brewer, their record now sits at 15-6.
Brewer's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Granbury hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327.
