Softball Recap: Caney Creek Comes Up Short

Caney Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Cleveland Indians, falling 15-3. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Angie Baker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Raelynn Dingman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Caney Creek's record is now 4-18. As for Cleveland, the win snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 5-22 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Caney Creek will take on rival College Park at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cleveland is set to square off against their familiar foe The Woodlands at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
