Football Recap: Utica Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Utica's offense. They took a blow against the Granville Blue Aces on Friday, falling 35-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Redskins in their meetings with the Blue Aces: they've now lost seven in a row.

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Granville, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Utica will challenge Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redskins will be up against the Lancers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Granville, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
