Softball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Maggie Young spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 16 Ks.

At the plate, Bella Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Mikayela Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Shelley, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Russets beat Skyline by a score of 20-11 on Wednesday.
