Crean Lutheran proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 23) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 victory over the Canyon Comanches. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Canyon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brandon Benjamin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Benjamin's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Pierce Haugen was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and seven boards.

Crean Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-9.

Crean Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-56 win against Cypress on the 5th.
