Recap: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Bremond Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Yorktown Wildcats can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Bremond on Thursday, falling 55-0. While losing is never fun, Yorktown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1023rd, while Bremond is ranked 505th).
Bremond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Koben Zan led the charge by rushing for 107 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 123 yards and a touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes. Terrence Scott was another key contributor, rushing for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Yorktown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Bremond, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Yorktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bremond also has no future games currently scheduled.
