            Football Recap: Keystone Panthers vs. Ridgway/Johnsonburg        
        
		
        
        
            Keystone started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Ridgway/Johnsonburg. They took  a  33-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ridgway/Johnsonburg on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ridgway/Johnsonburg apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in November of 2024.
 Despite the loss, Keystone still got an impressive performance from   Dom Corcetti, who rushed for 117 yards and a pair of  TDs, and also threw for 65 yards and one  touchdown. Corcetti didn't just play on offense: he also made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
 This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Nate Steger and  Markus Gerg. Steger rushed for 59 yards and a pair of  scores on only six carries while  Gerg rushed for 143 yards. Gerg has become a key player for Ridgway/Johnsonburg: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.
Keystone's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 4-4. As for Ridgway/Johnsonburg, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.
 Keystone has already played their next matchup,  a  37-34  defeat against Redbank Valley on the 17th. As for Ridgway/Johnsonburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  31-24  loss against Brockway on the 17th.
