McAdory won the last time they faced Brookwood and things went their way on Friday too. The Yellowjackets blew past the Panthers 54-26. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Panthers are ranked 159th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

McAdory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Patton, who threw for 254 yards and five touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Patton a new career-high in passer rating (134). Derrion Davis was another key rusher, gaining 141 total yards.

McAdory was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Leland Foster and Jordan Riley certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Foster rushed for 33 yards and one score, while Riley picked up 119 receiving yards and one TD.

McAdory pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.2 points on average over those games. As for Brookwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

McAdory will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Central at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,076 yards in their previous games. As for Brookwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 25-6 victory against Chilton County on the 26th.
