Baseball Recap: Nordonia Comes Up Short

Nordonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 5-1 to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bees apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Nordonia got a good showing from Daniel Wise, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Nordonia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Leffel, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was Leffel's first of the season.

Nordonia's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

While Nordonia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
