Softball Recap: Fair Haven Takes a Loss

Fair Haven fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Burr & Burton on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Slaters in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Chloe Marsden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Wetmore, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Fair Haven's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Burr & Burton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Fair Haven will square off against Rutland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Burr & Burton, they will head out to face off against Mount Anthony at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
