Soccer Game Preview: Random Lake vs. Sheboygan Christian

The Random Lake Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Sheboygan Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Random Lake's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Random Lake is headed into Thursday's contest following a draw, the team's first since August 26. Neither they nor Roncalli could gain the upper hand two weeks ago so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Sheboygan Christian entered their tilt with Sheboygan Falls last Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 3-0 shutout. Give Sheboygan Christian's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Daniel Alsum and Conor Deroos scored all three of Sheboygan Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 43 goals.

With that draw, Random Lake's record moves to 4-9-2. As for Sheboygan Christian, their win bumped their record up to 16-3-3.

Random Lake suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Sheboygan Christian when the teams last played back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rams were down 5-0.
