Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Leland Moi and Jabez Boyd Lead Life Christian Academy to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yelm, Life Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Annie Wright Gators by a score of 22-15. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

A big part of Life Christian Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Jabez Boyd and his top target Leland Moi. Boyd threw for 201 yards and one TD on only 18 passes while Moi rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. What's more, Boyd racked up 94.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Life Christian Academy's run defense was locked in: Annie Wright could only muster 1.4 yards per carry. The Eagles didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.9.

Life Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Julian Roso and Trent Davis.

Life Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Annie Wright, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
