Football Recap: Stearns Skates Past Ellsworth with Ease

Stearns waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Ellsworth Eagles 56-12. Considering the Minutemen have won five games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Stearns' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ellsworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Stearns will face off against Spruce Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Minutemen will need to watch out since the Phoenix have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Ellsworth, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mt. Ararat at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
