Christ the King hasn't had much luck against Community School of Davidson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Crusaders will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Community School of Davidson will be up against a hot Christ the King team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Crusaders put the hurt on Lincoln Charter with a sharp 35-14 victory on Friday.
Christ the King's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamison Ehret, who threw for 166 yards and one TD while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score.

Christ the King's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 3.5 times. Leading the way was Juan Casanova with two sacks. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 4.5 sacks on the season. Another thorn in Lincoln Charter's side was Caden Fritz, who picked up 0.5 sacks, forced two fumbles, and made 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Community School of Davidson got themselves on the board against West Stokes two weeks ago, but West Stokes never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over the Wildcats. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Community School of Davidson's win came from a few key players Christ the King will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ty Sigler, who threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt. Sam Mack was Sigler's top target, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Community School of Davidson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Christ the King, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Christ the King came up short against Community School of Davidson when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 14-10. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
