Preview: Western Christian Fighting Lancers vs. Trinity Classical Academy Knights
Western Christian is on a three-game streak of home losses, Trinity Classical Academy a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Western Christian Fighting Lancers will take on the Trinity Classical Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Western Christian pushed their score all the way to 31 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 44-31 to Linfield Christian.
Defeat or not, Western Christian got some senior leadership from JJ Hooper who picked up 201 receiving yards and three touchdowns and Jared Doolittle who threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns. Hooper's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
Meanwhile, Trinity Classical Academy had to suffer through a rough 47-7 loss at the hands of Capistrano Valley Christian. Trinity Classical Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.
Western Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Western Christian took their win against Trinity Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 36-12. Will Western Christian repeat their success, or does Trinity Classical Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
