Soccer Game Preview: Pieper vs. Alamo Heights

The Pieper Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Alamo Heights Mules at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Pieper will be strutting in after a victory while Alamo Heights will be coming in after a loss.

Pieper took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Boerne-Champion as Pieper made off with a 3-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Alamo Heights was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of Boerne by a score of 1-0.

Pieper is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That lines up perfectly with their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six games. Alamo Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Pieper beat Alamo Heights by a goal in their previous matchup back in February, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pieper since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
