Softball Recap: Brighton Bulldogs vs. Boulder Panthers

Brooke Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Brighton let Ava Araujo and Angelica Gallegos loose on the outfield. Araujo went 5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI, while Gallegos scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Araujo a new career-high in hits. Riley Doherty was another key player, scoring three runs.
