Soccer Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost against Paulding County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Central Lions fell 5-3 to the Paulding County Patriots. The game was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

Peyton Presley and Gabriella Baldassarri scored all three of Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Paulding County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Douglas County at 5:30 p.m. on February 25th. Paulding County will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against East Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th.
