Griffin had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Spalding Jaguars by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

Griffin easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19.

Griffin's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Spalding, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Griffin will challenge Langston Hughes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spalding, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Peach County on the 21st.
