Football Recap: Cherish Sutton Leads Suwannee's Defense on Friday

Suwannee owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They took down the Lincoln Trojans 14-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Suwannee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Sutton, Tor'Lanedria Ross, and Handy picked up one apiece.

The win made it two in a row for Suwannee and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points over those games. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Suwannee will face off against Impact Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Leon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
