Dimond faced Service in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lynx blew past the Cougars 3-0. The Lynx not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19th (when they won 3-0).
While Dimond won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-22.
Nia Cook paced Dimond's offense, picking up 14 kills. Cook got some help from Puao Asailevai and her 19 assists. Asailevai was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Dimond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-1 record this season. As for Service, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-8-3.
