Preview: Rustburg Red Devils vs. Glass Hilltoppers
Rustburg is 0-10 against Glass since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rustburg Red Devils will be playing at home against the Glass Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m.
On Friday, Rustburg lost to Liberty on the road by a decisive 47-33 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rustburg in their matchups with Liberty: they've now lost six in a row.
Rustburg's defeat came about despite a quality game from Haven Grinstead, who scored 11 points. Lena Rosser was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Glass didn't have too much trouble with Heritage at home on Friday as they won 48-29. The victory was just what Glass needed coming off of a 70-26 loss in their prior contest.
Rustburg dropped their record down to 11-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.4 points per game. As for Glass, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
