Basketball Recap: Van Buren County Comes Up Short

After flying high against New London last Friday, Van Buren County came back down to earth. The Van Buren County Warriors took a blow against the West Burlington Falcons on Tuesday, falling 91-51. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in January.

Van Buren County dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Burlington, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Buren County will face off against Mediapolis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Burlington, they will square off against Holy Trinity Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Burlington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Holy Trinity Catholic likes a good challenge.
