Baseball Game Preview: Conrad Science Red Wolves vs. Sussex Tech Ravens

The Conrad Science Red Wolves will take on the Sussex Tech Ravens on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Conrad Science 3.5, Sussex Tech 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Conrad Science is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Indian River by a score of 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Wolves.

Meanwhile, Sussex Tech faced Caravel Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Ravens never let the Buccaneers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Sussex Tech, bringing their record up to 13-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Conrad Science, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.

Conrad Science skirted past Sussex Tech 6-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
