Basketball Recap: Hinsdale South Takes a Loss

Hinsdale South lost against Neuqua Valley back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hinsdale South Hornets lost 60-35 to the Neuqua Valley Wildcats.

Despite the loss, Hinsdale South still got an impressive performance from Maeve Savage, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Savage is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Goins, who had ten points.

Hinsdale South's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Neuqua Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Hinsdale South will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hinsdale Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Neuqua Valley, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Neuqua Valley Wildcats face off against the Plainfield North Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
