Volleyball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Starts off Right with Win over Reynoldsburg

Worthington Kilbourne gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Reynoldsburg Raiders.

Worthington Kilbourne was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 22-25, 25-13, 25-15.

Worthington Kilbourne was led to victory by Audra Bailey and Kelsey McFadden. Bailey had 11 digs and four assists, while McFadden had 15 assists and four digs. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Worthington Kilbourne was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worthington Kilbourne will square off against Marysville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Reynoldsburg, they will face off against Central Crossing at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
