Basketball Game Preview: Brookland-Cayce Bearcats vs. Aiken Fighting Green Hornets

The Brookland-Cayce Bearcats will square off against the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookland-Cayce knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Aiken likes a good challenge.

Brookland-Cayce is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Gray Collegiate Academy, who was ranked 16th at the time (Brookland-Cayce was ranked 21st). Brookland-Cayce fell 74-63 to Gray Collegiate Academy on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), the Bearcats still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Aiken's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against North Augusta, falling 68-45.

Aiken now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Brookland-Cayce, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7.

Brookland-Cayce skirted past Aiken 51-49 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Brookland-Cayce repeat their success, or does Aiken have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
