Volleyball Recap: Coastal Academy Comes Up Short

Coastal Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders.

Jenni Beach paced Coastal Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Beach were helped by Camille Gastelum and Delaynie Harris, who contributed three assists each.

Kaylee Galyon was nothing short of spectacular for Cornerstone Christian: she had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Galyon has posted over her last five contests.

Coastal Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Coastal Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against St. Joseph Academy on the 13th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Horizon Prep on the 13th.
