While Laney's victory against New Hanover wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buccaneers beat the Wildcats on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Buccaneers sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jack Holliman, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Carston Wedemeyer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Laney pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for New Hanover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Laney didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against North Brunswick on the 29th. As for New Hanover, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-5 victory against West Brunswick on the 29th.
