Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Eastlake's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Eastlake's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastwood Troopers. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Troopers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Charley Solis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Tovar, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Eastwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 25-4-1 record this season.

Eastlake will challenge Montwood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Eastwood, they will face off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.92 runs per game on average), something the Troopers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
