With a playoff win on the line, Sunnyside rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 89-66 margin over the Centennial Golden Hawks. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sunnyside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Wilson, who posted 34 points. Those 34 points gave Wilson a new career-high. Malachi Barnes was another key player, putting up 29 points.

Centennial's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Acen Zuniga, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points and six boards. Zuniga continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rodrick Hodges, who had 17 points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Sunnyside and bumps their season record up to 18-11. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.5 points. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 16-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Sunnyside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-44 loss against Frontier on the 19th. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
