The Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cumberland County Jets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Warren County nor Cumberland County posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Warren County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Gordonsville, who was ranked fifth at the time (Warren County was ranked third). The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers managed a 13-7 victory over the Tigers on Monday. That's two games straight that the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers have won by exactly six points.

The win made it two in a row for Warren County and bumps their season record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points in those games. As for Cumberland County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for Warren County against Cumberland County in their previous matchup back in March, as the squad secured a 28-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
