Softball Game Recap: Sierra Chieftains vs. Chowchilla Tribe

Friday just wasn't the day for Sierra's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Chowchilla Tribe, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tribe this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Sierra and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Chowchilla, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra will take on Minarets at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.21 runs per game on average), something the Chieftains will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chowchilla, they will host Hollister at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Haybalers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tribe's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
