Basketball Game Preview: Faith Bible Christian vs. Gaston Greyhounds

Faith Bible Christian and Gaston are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. Faith Bible Christian will be playing at home against the Gaston Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Faith Bible Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Last Friday, Faith Bible Christian ended up a good deal behind Knappa and lost 79-65. While losing is never fun, Faith Bible Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Knappa is ranked 46th).

Meanwhile, Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Columbia Christian. One positive for the Greyhounds, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Faith Bible Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Faith Bible Christian took their win against Gaston in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 63-40. Will Faith Bible Christian repeat their success, or does Gaston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
