Volleyball Recap: Turlock Gets the Win

Turlock won the last time they faced Gregori and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Turlock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, 26-24.

Amelia Spaulding paced Turlock's offense, picking up 17 kills. Spaulding got some help from Bella Green and her 29 assists. Green also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Isabella Macias, each putting up three.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Apodaca, who had 27 assists and nine digs. Another player making a difference was Ella McCain, who had 14 digs.

Turlock's record is now 19-6. As for Gregori, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

Turlock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Big Valley Christian on the 11th. As for Gregori, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Modesto on the 14th.
