Trinity Christian Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Madison since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m.
Trinity Christian Academy lost 9-3 to Jackson Christian on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Owen Atwood was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Trinity Christian Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-10 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Madison had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Cooper Bonham made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Stranak, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Aiden Alexander, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Madison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .543 or higher in five consecutive games.
Trinity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Madison, their record now sits at 11-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trinity Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Madison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Trinity Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Madison in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
