If Lely was riding high fresh off their 62-0 takedown of Golden Gate last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Christian Warriors on Friday. Despite 140 more yards than the Warriors, the Trojans couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Lely lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nino Joseph, who rushed for 257 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Quinn, who threw for 288 yards and four touchdowns.

Lane Roberts had a dynamite game For Calvary Christian., rushing for 303 yards and five scores while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Those 303 rushing yards gave Roberts a new career-high.

Lely's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Calvary Christian, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
