Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian managed to keep up with Community Christian until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trinity Christian Tigers came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones, falling 78-53. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cyclones: they've now lost seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity Christian lost, don't look at Christian LoPresti. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. LoPresti has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marion Wright, who posted nine points.

Community Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Beamon, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Evan Gattis, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 20 points and six assists.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Community Christian, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.
