Baseball Recap: Cypress Lake Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Lake duked it out with Clewiston on Monday. The Panthers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in March.

Cypress Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fernando Carrasquel, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Cypress Lake has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Clewiston, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cypress Lake will challenge Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Clewiston, they will take on Sebring at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
